Photography FAQ's

Where are you based and do you travel?


My home base is Southern California, including Lake Arrowhead, LA, Temecula, Riverside, and San Diego.


I love to travel! I usually share my trips on Instagram @katelynn.j.photography. When you inquire, feel free to ask about travel details and costs as well. :)

What is your turn around time?


  • Shoots: 2-3 weeks
  • Elopements: 6-8 weeks
  • Weddings: 8-12 weeks
  • Brands: 2-3 weeks

What do I wear?


I usually recommend light, neutral colors—they photograph beautifully! But the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself, so wear what makes you feel confident and beautiful. I also have a Pinterest board full of inspiration that I can share when we’re planning your shoot!

What camera / lens do you use?


I use a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM - I LOVE my setup! :))

How do you edit?


I edit every gallery from scratch in Capture One—I don’t use presets, so each photo is carefully crafted to be unique and true to your story.

Do you give RAW, unedited images?


I don’t deliver RAW files, as editing is a huge part of my style and workflow—raw files wouldn’t be my finished work. I never hold back on any images when selecting your gallery, but if you feel something is missing, just let me know and I’ll happily double-check for you.
